What are the objectives for Cordoba Center and the way to achieve the objectives?

The premise for the center is to bring a better understanding and inter-faith dialogue with American people. However, this good intension has been replaced with a very negative response of the same people that the center would intend to reach.

The organizers of this center should think the process through and the consequences for pursuing to build the facility. In place of spending so much money at one site, why not build several facilities in several cities in US with the same amount of money; build them near universities in cities such as New York, Chicago, San Diego, Sacramento, Albuquerque, and Dallas.

The unfortunate reaction to the center has poisoned the atmosphere for a better understanding between a minority of reactive Christian and Muslim Americans. To educate and bring peace and harmony among our American people has a long way to travel. Many among those who have negatively reacted to the center and still think Muslims do not believe in God, they don't believe that Christ is the son of God, born from Virgin Mary, but Muslims do. Some of those reacting negatively believe that the Catholics are not Christian, but Catholics are the original Christians.

It is irrelevant that the Muslims have the constitutional right to build the center; however, the negative reaction and the consequences dictates that building of the center at the designated place in Manhattan is unproductive and unwise at this time.

President Obama, your election brought joy to me among many people of the world.

"We", those Americans who believe USA foreign policy should be a reflection of our national character: justice, peace, respect for human life, and fair treatment of all other nations.

We, the people of this world, share a common interest in freedom of expression, freedom of press, freedom of choice of religion or freedom from religion, pursuit of good life, and peace at home and among nations.

We are those who are angry at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people. We are those who work for justice, freedom and peace.

Like many Americans, I will support your agenda for bringing respect and fairness to the middle class of our society, improvement of healthcare and the infrastructure, advancing the agenda for production of non-fossil fuel sources of energy, and attempting to bridge the ideological strain between Democrats and Republicans.

I, among many Americans, will support you for trying to reduce the risk of another war in the Middle East, and trying to establish a peaceful coexistence between Jews and Arabs. I thank you for trying to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We need our national resources at home for our children and their children.

I for one have preached for a world without any nuclear bombs. I would never advocate development of nuclear bomb by any country. I am all for a meaningful enforcement of NPT. Let be serious, our anger with the Iranian government since 1979 has had nothing to do with their nuclear fuel cycle, or an Iranian military threat to the Middle Eastern nations [Double Vendetta: The Insanity of the Iran Confrontation ]

The video is a good introduction to the issues of Iran and USA-Israel vector to force the USA interests in the Middle East.

The Iranians are not a military threat for USA, France, England, and Germany.

Iran’s military spending is “relatively low compared to the rest of the region,” and of course minuscule as compared to the US. Iranian military doctrine is strictly “defensive, designed to slow an invasion and force a diplomatic solution to hostilities.” Iran has only “a limited capability to project force beyond its borders.” With regard to the nuclear option, “Iran’s nuclear program and its willingness to keep open the possibility of developing nuclear weapons is a central part of its deterrent strategy.”

Is Iran a threat to Israel?
Facts: Israel has 3 nuclear submarines, donated by Germany, capable to carry nuclear bombs. USA has provided Israel planes capable to carry nuclear bombs. Israel has nuclear bombs and the most sophisticated armaments in the world, thanks to the generosity of US and Germany.

Then why does Israel feel threatened by Iran? A common explanation often offered has been psychological syndrome. A cure for this behavior cannot be another war instigated on behalf of Israel, this time with Iran. In spite of our statements, Iranian nuclear fuel cycle, or state of democracy in Iran, or theocracy are not high priority issues relative to our national interests. The term “stability” here has its usual technical meaning: firmly under US control.

Iranian threat is not military aggression. Iranian deterrent capacity is considered an illegitimate exercise of sovereignty that interferes with US global designs. Specifically, it threatens US control of Middle East energy resources, a high priority of planners since World War II. As one influential figure advised, expressing a common understanding, control of these resources yields “substantial control of the world” (A. A. Berle).

The Tea Party has endorsed Israel pre-emptive attack on Iran. Before we start, let us have a cup of coffee, we need to be fully awake and think this through...Israel threatened by Iranian nuclear fuel cycle.

It is true that Iran is a nuclear state, but not a nuclear bomb state . Israel is nuclear bomb State. Then why would Israel feel threatened by Iran? Israel has 200 nuclear bombs. Iran has zero.
However, many nations including Germany, Japan, Brazil, and Iran are among the many nuclear states...NOT a Nuclear Bomb State. All these nuclear states have active nuclear fuel cycle, i.e. they are able to produce fuel for nuclear power reactor for generation of electricity.
The following states are nuclear bomb states: USA, Russia, England, France, China, Pakistan and India. The North Korea tested a very crude bomb a year ago, but she is incapable to deliver it as nuclear bomb either by plane or rocket.

US Congress is to give the green light for Israel to attack Iran.

Nearly one third of the Republican Caucus in the House of Representatives has introduced a resolution giving Israel a green light to attack Iran. H.Res.1553 declares unwavering support for Israel to “use all means necessary,” to “eliminate nuclear threats” posed by Iran.

The game plan of these Members of Congress was spelled out by John Bolton in the Wall Street Journal just two weeks ago: “Having visible congressional support in place at the outset [of an attack] will reassure the Israeli government, which is legitimately concerned about Mr. Obama's likely negative reaction to such an attack.”

This is the first step necessary to enable war with Iran.

The Obama Administration quietly resisted Congressional efforts to pass unilateral economic sanctions for over a year, before ultimately giving in to Congressional pressure. Now that “crippling” sanctions have been put in place, the far-right wing and Iran-hawks have begun openly advocating for what has always been their ultimate objective: war with Iran.

As we begin to debate war in earnest, we cannot let history repeat itself.

Numerous credible studies have concluded that such strikes would suck the US into the conflict that would engulf the region in war and put so much at risk.

Marriage, Adultery: Should prostitution be legalized in the USA?

Christianity considers marriage as a sacrament and not just joining of two people in a social-economic contract. But, in secular world, marriage could at best be defined as a socio-economic contract registered by state and privileged to some legal rights. This contract, let us define it as a registered union of two or more people, may entitle the individuals to inheritance from the union and other rights defined by the union contract and the state.

The union of two people may not be registered by the state and still could have legal rights. One fundamental demand for the union may be impositions for providing the cost of care would a child is created during the union; this is a consideration irrespective of the duration of the union. In a union of a male and a female, law would impose cost of care on the male. The male could be the genetic father, but also could not be the one. Should all union contracts have a clause to eliminate this imposition of the cost of the care "child support" if the genetic relationship is not validated? Should all children be tested at birth not only for some inherited diseases, but also the genetic linkage to the caretaker "often father"?

Do you feel emotionally more at ease if the union of a male and female was a marriage and blessed as sacrament? Has adultery created both psychological and social difficulty in our modern society? If adultery is an accepted practice, then should the name “marriage with connotation of a ”sacramental practice” be replaced with the word ‘Union” in the contract? In our society free from the religious constrains, should prostitution (a service for pay) be legally available? This action, like many European societies, would allow safety of sexual encounter by medical-legal licensing of prostitution? Are we living in a society full of hypocrisy by accepting adultery, but pronouncing prostitution as a sinful act?

Imposition of death for Iranian woman for adultery, facing death by stoning has created a repulsive reaction in the Western Societies. I am repulsed by killing of any person irrespective of any justification a State or government may offer. I could only surmise on Muslim religion; I would think their rules are based on the Old Testament, a common standard for Judeo-Christian-Muslim religions. I find imposition of death by state-religion using any method to impose death to be barbaric and unacceptable being Koran or the Old Testament.

However;the question of sex, religion, state and church is relevant to our Western societies. Could our society apply punishment using the Old Testament standard for judgment and law in our societies?
The following sections of the bible (the Old Testament) define the punishments for committing adultery:
Exodus 20:14 "You shall not commit adultery."
Deuteronomy 22:22 "If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die."
Leviticus 20:10 "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife--with the wife of his neighbor--both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death."
Proverbs 6:32 "But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself." He destroys himself by being put to death as shown above.
Leviticus 21:9 "And the daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the whore, she profanes her father: she shall be burnt with fire." Why should only a daughter of a priest get burnt to death if she profanes herself? Why can't this law apply to all daughters?
Deuteronomy 25:11-12 "If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity." Similar sections in the Old Testament also can be identified for homosexuality.

However, adultery is considered a recreation in many western Christian societies. Fathers are not sure the children they had supported and cared for were conceived by someone else. Some children are suspicious that the man they have called “dad” may be just a benevolent caretaker. Is this an issue of morality or social contract? As a social contract, a father is obligated to support his children. Is genetic linkage between a man and a child the only prerequisite for fatherhood? Many adopt children and love and care for them.

Are the Old Testament rules for adultery, homosexuality, and capital punishment irrelevant for our modern societies? Is the influence of the Old Testament on our life practically speaking dead in the secular Western societies?

We should eliminate the capital punishment in the Unites States.

Should we be pro-American Americans?
There is no way to reconcile the Petraeus need for the nations in the Middle East to cooperate with US in Afghanistan so long as Israeli burden hangs on our Administration. It is all dependent on our government ability to project a Pro-American posture over those of Pro-Israel. Can we sacrifice our interests in the Middle East for the price of being an extension of Israel's foreign policy?

Pro-Israel position has been: Russia must stop selling defensive weapons to Iran, Syria, Venezuela, and the like. These defenses would make harder for Israel to bomb Syria and Iran.

The Fourth Iran Sanction: Perspectives and Objectives

The objective of USA has been to stop Iran ability to enrich uranium; it is irrelevant that the enrichment is for peaceful use of the nuclear fuels. It is irrelevant that under NPT, Iran has the right to enrich uranium. Our position has been that once Iran is capable to enrich to 5% for nuclear reactor and 20% for production of medical isotopes, then Iran will be another step closer to enriching to 90% required for fabricating a crude nuclear bomb. We do not have any evidence to support that Iran is producing nuclear bomb.

Another concern of ours has been that nuclear fuel is a precious commodity. We would like to keep the production of nuclear fuel entitled to very few nations (nuclear fuel club). We allow other nations, those not the member of the club, to receive and use the fuel. We want the control. Unless they behave to our liking, they shall not have access to it. The facts are that oil is a diminishing quantity. Nuclear fuel will replace oil and coal for production of electric energy. The other sources of electric production (solar and wind) will contribute but will not be able to replace those produced by oil. Coal has had severe effect on our environment; by consensus, its use will be reduced in the future.

Israel has, or intends to position nuclear submarines armed with nulcear bombs in waters near Persian Gulf. Germany produced the nuclear capable submarines for Israel.

What do Iranians think? Do they feel their backs are against the walls created by USA, Germany, France and now Russia and China? They remember the concerted Russia-England efforts to divide and colonize their country. They remember Russian invasion of their nation. Who could they trust? No one!

We know that Iran does not have and is not developing nuclear bomb. But that is irrelevant!

Obama: Israel and the Middle East

The statement associated to IAEA “remains concerned about the possible existence in Iran of past or current undisclosed nuclear related activities, involving military related organizations, including activities related to the development of a nuclear payload for a missile." is hinged on POSSIBLE and conjecture. If the agency or USA had any evidence, it would have been published and exposed by now.

We should say that Iran is telling the truth and is not following the path to making nuclear bomb. Let us be rational about this nuclear bomb and Iran! If Iran would develops a nuclear bomb and would use it against Israel, then Israel has capacity to retaliate and destroy Iran by all of her already developed nuclear capability. Uzi Mahnaimi in Tel Aviv states:
“Three German-built Israeli submarines equipped with nuclear cruise missiles are to be deployed in the Gulf near the Iranian coastline.”

Persian Paradox: USA, Russia, England and Nuclear Fuel

To lubricate diplomatic friction, in 1907 an agreement was solemnly signed which defined each country's sphere of influence in Persia. Britain was to influence in the southeast; Russia in the north. As for the poor Persians, their attitude was aptly summed up in a Punch cartoon of the period. It showed a Persian cat apprehensively sitting between a lion and a bear. "I will pat its head," says the bear, "and you shall stroke its tail." Pleads the cat: "But I have not been consulted!"

The world has not changed, now in addition to the bear and the lion, the Bald Eagle is perched on the tree and checking for the most delicious part of the Persian cat prior to the grand slaughter. The appetite for domination and exploitation has not changed since 1907; just new players have been added to the table.

Our Bald Eagle responses often have been forged by special elements of our USA society bent to bring Iran on its knees begging for mercy. The proponents have had the same trenched position for many decades. It does not make any difference who governs Iran and state of democracy in the country; the objectives have been to keep Iran subservient to USA and a satellite nation. Iranian nuclear fuel cycle is not in violation of the International Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty, but I think the insubordination of the Iranian governments that has irked the US administrations.

JOINT DECLARATION BY IRAN, TURKEY AND BRAZIL
(17 May 2010)

Having met in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, the undersigned have agreed on the following Declaration:

1) We reaffirm our commitment to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and in accordance with the related articles of the NPT, recall the right of all State Parties, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy (as well as nuclear fuel cycle including enrichment activities) for peaceful purposes without discrimination.

2) We express our strong conviction that we have the opportunity now to begin a forward looking process that will create a positive, constructive, non-confrontational atmosphere leading to an era of interaction and cooperation.

3) We believe that the nuclear fuel exchange is instrumental in initiating cooperation in different areas, especially with regard to peaceful nuclear cooperation including nuclear power plant and research reactors construction.

4) Based on this point the nuclear fuel exchange is a starting point to begin cooperation and a positive constructive move forward among nations. Such a move should lead to positive interaction and cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear activities replacing and avoiding all kinds of confrontation through refraining from measures, actions and rhetorical statements that would jeopardize Iran's rights and obligations under the NPT.

5) Based on the above, in order to facilitate the nuclear cooperation mentioned above, the Islamic Republic of Iran agrees to deposit 1200 kg LEU in Turkey. While in Turkey this LEU will continue to be the property of Iran. Iran and the IAEA may station observers to monitor the safekeeping of the LEU in Turkey.

6) Iran will notify the IAEA in writing through official channels of its agreement with the above within seven days following the date of this declaration. Upon the positive response of the Vienna Group (US, Russia, France and the IAEA) further details of the exchange will be elaborated through a written agreement and proper arrangement between Iran and the Vienna Group that specifically committed themselves to deliver 120 kg of fuel needed for the Tehran Research Reactor (TRR).

7) When the Vienna Group declares its commitment to this provision, then both parties would commit themselves to the implementation of the agreement mentioned in item 6. Islamic Republic of Iran expressed its readiness to deposit its LEU (1200 kg) within one month. On the basis of the same agreement the Vienna Group should deliver 120 kg fuel required for TRR in no later than one year.

8) In case the provisions of this Declaration are not respected Turkey, upon the request of Iran, will return swiftly and unconditionally Iran's LEU to Iran.

Under this agreement Iranian low-enriched uranium would be exchanged for fuel rods for the medical research reactor in Tehran. Since electric power reactors would operate using fuels enriched to less than 5%, Iran must take one more step and stop enriching uranium to 20% once the protocal for the fuel has been accepted. Iranian nuclear fuel cycle is not in violation of NPT.

Washington must also accept the realities of the world. Our responses often have been forged by special elements of our society bent to bring Iran on its knees begging for mercy. The proponents have had the same trenched position for many decades. It does not make any difference who governs Iran and state of democracy in the country; the objectives have been to keep Iran subservient to USA and a satellite nation. The insubordination of the Iranian governments has irked the US administrations. Can we do the same trick we pulled in 1953? No!

The objectives transcend the present realities. What realities: Thierry Meyssan French political analyst, founder and chairman of the Voltaire Network and the Axis for Peace conference posted the following article: Strategy shift in the Middle East. Meyssan states:

“The Iraqi chaos and the creation of a quasi-state in Kurdistan have forced neighbouring states to work together to avert a spillover effect, especially since Washington has already attempted to destabilize them all to keep them out of the Iraqi game. Thus the United States and Israel covertly supported Kurdish separatists in Turkey (PKK), those in Iran (Pejak) and those in Syria. As a result, the Iran-Syria axis has been replaced by the Iran-Syria-Turkey triangle. This new alliance enjoys a historical legitimacy without parallel.”

Our past political mistakes and financial burdens we have placed on the Iranian people will not advance our long term American interests. To assist the Progressive movement in Iran, allow a greater exchange between the two societies, remove the burdens placed on the Iranian people by economic sanctions and restrictions. It is foolish to punish the people for our disagreements with their government. By removing the burden, we allow change in demographics of Iran toward a larger middle class; thus, it will shift the internal Iranian policy from Traditionalists toward the Progressives. We must support the Iranian Progressives. The Progressives are young, better educated and often the middle class segment of the Iranian population. Iranian Traditionalist (religious, very nationalistic, often poor, and under educated) voted for re-election of Ahmadinejad.

We will not advance our American interests, or the Progressive Iranian movement, by listening to those who advocate a more aggressive policy toward Iran. Only Iranian people will decide the new course of action for their country. The evolution of the Iranian society toward a secular state will require time and external security. The over aggressive posturing by Israel and supported by the Congress will only strengthen the hands of the traditionalist segment of the Iranian society. The best course of action for President Obama, I suggest, is to allow Iranian people to settle their own internal political conflicts.

Israel’s actions both in Lebanon and Gaza in recent years indicate a military force savagely trained to kill and destroy in parallel with brutality of Genghis Khan. Israel preemptively attacking Iran may be based on assumption that a reprisal by Iran would not be serious and of very short duration. In addition, the world opinion would be changed very rapidly to other issues. Israel’s past two attacks on Iraq and Syria would support this assumption.
Israel’s second assumption is that USA, France, and England will not let Israel to lose the war. Yes, Israel may attack Iran. But would USA join in and support Israel as she did for Sadam Hossein? What would be the consequence of this attack?
First of all it will unify the Iranian people in one voice against Israel and USA, count on it.
Second, the attack will not stop there; it will drag the entire region into an anti-American union against USA-England-France and Israel.

Practically the region is one State. Israel controls the entire region in air and on the ground. Non-Jewish residents are tolerated as less than second class inhabitants. Both Jewish and Palestinians have paid a high price for a failed two-state system; we have to consider the human side of the Israeli-Jewish struggle for a lasting peace. Should we Americans, or the people of the world allow how Israel treats non-Jewish people and other nations... killing them, destroying their homes, taking over their land, and placing them in slavery, like how Palestinians have been treated last 60 years?

The chance for creating a two state solution is dead. I suggest that only as one nation, Federal State of Israel-Palestine, the peace may endure. We, Americans, have failed to see the both side of the struggle for a lasting peace. As Semitic people, they have common historical and religious heritage.

The national security is the driving force for Iran. If security is good for Israel, then, it is also good for Turks, Persians and Arabs.

Israel is the only nuclear bomb state in the Middle East. A nuclear bomb free Middle East will remove pressure from all the other nations, including Iran to develop nuclear bomb in the future for deterrence against Israeli's nuclear bombs.

Soviet Union had to develop the nuclear bomb because USA had already developed nuclear bomb and we (President Truman) were making sure the Russians knew it. India, China and Pakistan developed the nuclear bomb because the other nations, i.e. India and China, Pakistan and India, used the bomb as deterrence against the other. Israel developed the bomb because of her fear of the Arabs; Iran was a friend and collaborator of Israel at the time. The recent bill, part of a larger effort to hurt Iranian people, was instigated to force Iran to abandon her nuclear enrichment program. Those who voted for the bill assumed that they were giving the Obama administration stronger powers to sanction companies that provide Iranian people gasoline, diesel and other refined petroleum fuels.

How did Israel acquire nuclear bomb? French built the Dimona heavy water reactor, trained and installed the facility for processing irradiated fuel to produce weapons-grade nuclear material. Approximately 2,700 scientists, technicians, administrative staff, and other workers are employed at Dimona. Since the facility was constructed in the late 1950's the surrounding land has been altered to sustain groves of palms and gardens positioned to obscure the facility from the road and air. French built reactor at Dimona . The financial cost of the facility was paid by Germany.

Mordechai Vanunu, Israeli nuclear technician, in 1986, provided descriptions and photographs of of the Dimona facility. This information supported the conclusion that Israel had a stockpile of 100 to 200 nuclear devices, a significantly larger nuclear capability than previously estimated.

Mordechai Vanunu, based on Eileen Fleming comment, told: "President Kennedy tried to stop Israel from building atomic weapons. In 1963, he forced Prime Minister Ben Guirion to admit the Dimona was not a textile plant, as the sign outside proclaimed, but a nuclear plant.

"The Prime Minister said, ‘The nuclear reactor is only for peace.’ Kennedy insisted on an open internal inspection. He wrote letters demanding that Ben Guirion open up the Dimona for inspection. The French were responsible for the actual building of the Dimona. The Germans gave the money; they were feeling guilty for the Holocaust, and tried to pay their way out.

"Everything inside was written in French, when I was there, almost twenty years ago. Back then, the Dimona descended seven floors underground. In 1955, Perez and Guirion met with the French to agree they would get a nuclear reactor if they fought against Egypt to control the Sinai and Suez Canal. That was the war of 1956. Eisenhower demanded that Israel leave the Sinai, but the reactor plant deal continued on. Kennedy demanded inspections.

"When Johnson became president, he made an agreement with Israel that two senators would come every year to inspect. Before the senators would visit, the Israelis would build a wall to block the underground elevators and stairways. If we really want to help any progressive Iranian movement, may I suggest that we should stay out of the Iranian internal politics. We Americans hate any nation meddling in our internal affairs. Progressive Iranian population, the last thing they would need is the label of being attached to the Uncle Sam. President Bush's meddling in Iran worked against the progressive section of the Iranian society. I have used the term progressive, not moderates. Iranian Traditionalist (religious, very nationalistic, often poor, and under educated) are the majority of the Iranian population. A search in demographics and the statistics of the Iranian population would support my statement.

The Iranian election was about who will control the democratic Iranian society, the Traditionalists or the Progressives. Iranian peaceful demonstration was turned into street riot, burning buses, destroying property, and looting instigated by the terrorists Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) and others.

Some Iranians suggest that Neda Agha Soltan was killed by one of MKO agents. She was killed to create emotional reaction by Iranians against their government.

What did we do during Watts Riots of 1965, a large-scale race riot which lasted 6 days in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, causing mayhem and public property damage? What do we do if a peaceful demonstration in Washington about any issue would be taken over by outsiders to the demonstration and made into Watts type of riot? What can they do? They must restore order or accept anarchy. What did we do at Watts, Detroit and DC, and at Kent State? USA called in the National Guard.

Why did we not respond to the 2000 and 2004 flawed elections? The Supreme Court decided the vote for the 2000 election. An equivalent organization, Guardian Council will decide the result of the vote for Iran.

The Iran Freedom and Support Act — 2005, created a $10 million fund for support of Iranian democracy — as a starting point on how to lead Iranian protesters, create sabotage and mayhem to lead to regime change in Iran. USA under President George Bush had provided MKO with technical and financial support for special operations and anti-Iranian activities. Is President Obama still supporting the same anti-Iranian activities using terrorists MKO organization? Did our support for MKO contributed to the death of Neda?

French President Sarkozy in his private talk with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on Wednesday, the official Israeli reporter said, Sarkozy delivered a message to Iran. The message said, France would start dismantling her nuclear bombs and remove them from their submarines if Iran would agree not making nuclear bombs in the future.

This is great news. France has stepped up to the plate, President Sarkozy said, and would set herself as an example for international nuclear disarmament. British government has also joined in the nuclear disarmament. Let us open a bottle of French wine, or better Persian Shiraz wine, and drink to a better future world, a world free of all nuclear bombs.

How do we categorize the fighters of the wars of 1775-1783, the wars of American Independence? The forces from the 13 colonies assembled and fought an asymmetric war against the organized forces of England. When the members of these American forces were captured by the English forces, often they were killed and labeled as terrorists.

How do we label the defense-liberation forces of Lebanon and Palestine? Do we call these terrorists because they have been fighting those who have occupied their land, killed their families and children? As Americans would we fight for the defense of our homeland? Those who help the people of Palestine and Lebanon are called the sponsors of terrorists. France helped our forces to fight the British forces. Were French sponsoring the American terrorists?

The success or failure of the administration of President Obama with Israel would determine the nature of future stability for the Middle East. Any rational and humanistic resolution of Palestinian dilemma has been non-starter with Israel. The problems of Palestinian subjugation to Israel occupation are the seeds for an unstable world including the Middle East.

The Palestinian issue, over 40 years of baffling by Israel throwing one excuse after another to derail any prospect, is independent of any other world concern for the US administration. Secretary of State Clinton should not allow Israel to dictate the foreign policy of the United States. USA can’t afford war after war to support failed attempts to stabilize the region. Palestinians have paid a high price for failed attempts to consider the human side of the Palestinians struggle for peaceful life.

The problem of Iranian nuclear fuel cycle is just a diversion from the real problems in the Middle East, the problem is a humanistic resolution of Palestinian dilemma.

I suggest that Dr. Henry A. Kissinger's recommendations neglected markers for workable foreign policy by avoiding the causes for the present unstable Middle East. The following is an approach to a workable foreign policy for the administration of President Obama.

The problems of Palestinian subjugation to Israel occupation are the seeds for an unstable world including the Middle East. Many expect, as previously stated by Iran and many Arab counties, that they would not reject a reasonable break through between Washington and Israel over the Palestinians home state. However; many political analysts have suggested that any resolution about Palestinian state would be a non-starter with Israel. Roxana Saberi: Guilty or Innocent

Based on Iranian reported sources, Iranian-American journalist Ms. Roxana Saberi has implicated herself by her testimony.

Roxana Saberi, 31 had reported for the BBC and National Public Radio. She was sentenced in an Iranian court for spying for the US to eight years in prison.

Guilty or innocent, she is also a victim of the political conflicts between USA and Iran.

Our previous attempts to undermine the Iranian government by creating conflict in Iran have sharpened Iranian government scrutiny of all Iranian-Americans traveling to their homeland. It is a common knowledge that our past foreign policies about Iran have severely hurt Iranian-Americans both in USA and Iran, in addition to hurting common Iranian people.

Since 1979, among those who were profiled and scrutinized were Iranian-Americans. Many Iranian-Americans, including those who were born in the United States, lost their jobs, demoted, ostracized, discriminated and forced into isolation

Post September 11, USA sensing danger from those whose aim was to hurt our country created scrutiny and security apparatus against those perceived to be dangerous to us. Is it understandable that Iranian government senses the same security risks about Iranian-Americans considering USA and Israeli overt and covert attempts to destroy Iranian government?

We hope Iranian President Ahmadinejad will pardon Ms. Roxana Saberi now.
We hope President Obama will stop the dirty trick agenda of the past-Presidents since 1979, and will establish now a formal political relation with Iran.

Iran and USA have a common goal in Afghanistan. Could this commonality expand into other areas of the Middle East? Many political analysts are optimistic. In The Hague this week, Iranian officials offered to cooperate with the US. Iran has pursued an ambitious redevelopment effort in Afghanistan since 2001.

Anand Gopal, staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor on April 3, 2009 wrote: US-Iran thaw could bolster Afghanistan rebuilding efforts.

“KABUL, AFGHANISTAN - In a crowded section near the western edge of the capital sits a sprawling new university compound, a structure of ornate white stone and blue-tiled domes.
As hundreds of students here file in for morning classes, many say they have one country to thank for helping to improve higher learning in this education-starved country: Iran.
The $100 million University is one of Iran's many development projects across Afghanistan – and just the type of contribution Washington wants to bring positive change to this troubled country.
At an international conference on Afghanistan in The Hague this week, Iranian officials offered to cooperate with the United States on developing and reconstructing Afghanistan. Though deep mistrust remains between the two countries, the move marked a thaw in relations and could facilitate Washington's efforts to turn the situation around here.
"The conference underlines Iran's willingness to play a cooperative role and can jump-start Obama's policy of getting more support throughout the region," says Marvin Weinbaum, a former State Department analyst on Afghanistan-Pakistan and currently a scholar in residence at the Middle East Institute based in Washington.
More cooperation between Washington and Tehran could bolster development efforts. For example, according to "Afghanistan's Other Neighbors: Iran, Central Asia, and China," a recent report from the Washington-based think tank, the Hollings Center for International Dialogue, the US forbade contractors to purchase cheaper and more readily available Iranian asphalt to build a key highway here, presumably because of the hostile relations between the two countries.
Iran's support is crucial, Mr. Weinbaum says, because of its longstanding political, cultural, and economic interests in Afghanistan.
For example, Tehran has been working on an ambitious development plan here since 2001, mostly near its shared border with Afghanistan but also in the north and in major cities. Iran's projects provide a glimpse of how much more it could help the country in the future, says Weinbaum.
According to the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief, an umbrella organization that tracks aid here, Iran has disbursed nearly a half-billion dollars in aid since 2001. In fact, Iran is one of the most effective donors in the country, delivering 93 percent of the aid it has pledged. By comparison, the US has delivered only 48 percent of $5 billion in pledged aid; India has contributed 24 percent of its $200 million in pledged aid.
The western city of Herat has boomed with Iran's beneficence. Unlike most of the country, the city boasts 24-hour electricity, dozens of industrial zones, paved roads, and more. Iran is responsible for much of this, according to government officials. Elsewhere, Iran has built mosques and education centers and provided loans to Afghan businessmen. Iranian entrepreneurs have poured investment dollars into the country.
These investments might be the driving factor in Iran's interest in the country. Afghanistan is a valuable market for the Iranians, says Weinbaum: "Iranian businessmen are operating pretty freely in Afghanistan, and more consumer goods are being exported into the country from Iran."

IRAN DOESN'T WANT AN UNSTABLE NEIGHBOR
Another motivation for Iran might be the fear of a destabilized Afghanistan. "Their nightmare is that a radical Sunni group like the Taliban come to power next door," Weinbaum continues.
The Taliban and Tehran have been at odds for years. The ultraconservative Sunni militants view Shiite Islam and its adherents with severe hostility. During Afghanistan's civil wars in the 1990s, Iran supported Shiite groups and other non-Pashtun groups. It later backed the arch rivals of the Taliban government, the Northern Alliance.
Iranian officials also worry that a destabilized Afghanistan could spark a refugee crisis within its borders. Iran is already home to more than 2 million Afghan refugees, most of them illegal. The problem has caused tensions between Tehran and Kabul, as Iran periodically expels the illegal refugees.
Drug smugglers frequently infiltrate the 560-mile border between the two countries, driving up crime and opium addiction rates. Iranian officials have pledged to cooperate with US counter-narcotics efforts. "While Afghanistan is the world's largest producer of opium, Iran is the world's largest consumer," writes the Hollings Center in its recent report.
Iranian officials have not yet outlined how they plan to help fight the drug trade, but some officials say they might increase border security to limit smuggling.

US, AFGHANS QUESTION IRAN'S MOTIVES
Despite pledges of cooperation, the US and Iran have much mutual suspicion to overcome. "Iran is certainly fearful of the US developing a strategic partnership with Afghanistan," says Weinbaum.
Officials in Tehran worry that the Americans will build permanent military bases in Afghanistan that could one day be used to launch attacks against Iran. Iran has been critical of US troop presence in the region, saying at Tuesday's conference that the planned increase in forces "will prove ineffective."
The US, for its part, has accused Iran of surreptitiously supporting the Afghan insurgency, citing instances in which Iranian-made weapons were recovered from the insurgents. But Iranian officials respond that such weapons are readily available on the black market and do not indicate active support from Tehran.
Many Afghans suspect Iran's motives. Due to its historical, religious, and cultural ties with Afghanistan's Persian-speaking minorities, who together make up roughly half of the country, Iran is sometimes perceived as favoring them with their support.
"They build everything for Shiites," says Kabul resident Fazel Minlallah.
"They don't help the Pashtun people," says lawmaker Najib Kabuli. "They use their money to win influence, like they do in Lebanon," where Iran supports the Shiite group Hezbollah.
Other Afghans are wary of Iran's cultural influence – the country is more socially liberal than Afghanistan and many returned refugees bring such ideas back home, causing tensions in this ultra-conservative society. In some cases, young Afghan women return from Iran and dress less conservatively, for example.
But the overlapping American, Afghan, and Iranian interests here suggest that the countries can find areas to work together. None of the countries involved, notes Weinbaum, wants Afghanistan to descend into instability or civil war, and therefore they have an interest in helping to rebuild and develop the country.”

We hope this cooperation between USA and Iran would continue to the other tension areas of the Middle East. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei provided the first official reaction to a video greeting to Iran that Obama released Friday on the occasion of Nowruz, the Persian new year.
“We have no experience of this new president and administration,” Ayatollah Khamenei said. “We will wait and see. If you change your attitude, we will change, too. If you do not change, then our nation will build on its experience of the past 30 years.”

What are the facts?

Iran and Nuclear Fuel Production

The whole issue of conflict with Iran is about control of the sources of energy, oil and nuclear fuel. British-American control of the sources of energy, oil, started once the value of oil over coal was demonstrated by German engineers especially for propulsion of ships.

The second main source of energy is nuclear power generation. The efforts to monopolize nuclear fuel production started in 1978, when the Nuclear Suppliers Group tried to impose restrictions on the right of developing countries to enrich their own uranium, a right. Since Article IV of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty ensures access to peaceful uses of nuclear technology for non-nuclear weapon states, the technology for uranium enrichment must be permitted to all states under the current nonproliferation regime. Countries like Iran therefore, are permitted to develop their own enrichment technology for peaceful nuclear energy production. Iran has argued for an international nuclear fuel consortium to operate Iranian nuclear enrichment. Iranians assert that this international cooperative arrangement and IAEA oversight together will eliminate USA fear that Iran is attempting to use the technology to develop nuclear weapon.

The Global Nuclear Energy Partnership (GNEP) is a USA initiative that offers an international control over production of nuclear fuel and disposal of the associated nuclear wastes. GNEP-initiative monopolizes nuclear fuel production and waste management infrastructure.

Global Nuclear Power Infrastructure (GNPI) is a Russian initiative.
The Angarsk Electrolyzing and Chemical Combine, a plant created to enrich uranium for the Soviet nuclear program is located in Angarsk in southeastern Siberia, Russia. The international uranium enrichment center" (IUEC) in Angarsk objective is to provide a guaranteed supply of uranium fuel for countries which do not enrich uranium themselves, Iran, India and others. Russia will retain exclusive control of all sensitive enrichment technology.

All these initiatives, both GNEP and GNPI have one thing in common, monopolizing production of nuclear fuel. Any nation who would have nuclear reactor but can not control the supplier of nuclear fuel is not an independent nation. The case of Iran and Russia as supplier of the fuel demonstrates my argument. The Iranian problem for receiving from Russia fuel for Bushehr - Iran Nuclear Reactor was greatly co-opted by the United States forcing Iran to initiate her own fuel production.

McCain and the Republican Party’s puppet dance

Senator McCain attempts to divert our attention away from our national problems by creating imaginary threats such as Iran. He forgets that we have seen these puppet masters' works and we have learned about their tricks.

Senator McCain is out of touch with my generation. My generation demanded we should give all children in America the same opportunity irrespective of their gender, color of skin, religion of the parents, and the national origin of the parents, or where they live in America. My generation supported the American workers, farmers, and the middle class.

The Republican Party represents the "me-generation". The life objectives of the “me-generation” are to get money as much as you can and where ever you can, then, use the money to buy more power and self-gratification.

The Republican Party is responsible for the mass migration of the American industry and technical jobs to other countries; they had one objective to maximize their profits using the cheapest labor at the expense of the environment. The Republican Party is responsible for withdrawing investment in our country’s infrastructure and industry so that they can invest the capital in the other countries; they had one objective to maximize their return on investment at the expense of the American future.

The Republican Party and their flag bearer Senator McCain support multi-national corporations whose sole allegiance is to profit at the expense of my children and grand children. The Democratic Party supports the workers, the farmers and the middle class Americans.

The issues are: job, medical insurance, transportation, education, housing, and the national infrastructure. The Republican Administration has been diverting attention from these real issues to fear of vague unsubstantiated international threats. Senator McCain, we have seen the Republican Party’s puppet dance before. It will not work again.

Israel Planned to use Georgian Air Bases to Attack Iran

The military cooperation between the countries developed swiftly. The fact that Georgia’s defense minister, Davit Kezerashvili, is a former Israeli who is fluent in Hebrew contributed to this cooperation. “We are now in a fight against the great Russia,” he said, “and our hope is to receive assistance from the White House, because Georgia cannot survive on its own. “

Kezerashvili’s door was always open to the Israelis who came and offered his country arms systems made in Israel. Compared to countries in Eastern Europe, the deals in this country were conducted fast, mainly due to the pro-Israeli defense minister’s personal involvement.”

“…Among the Israelis who took advantage of the opportunity and began doing business in Georgia were former Minister Roni Milo and his brother Shlomo, former director-general of the Military Industries, Brigadier-General (Res.) Gal Hirsch and Major-General (Res.) Yisrael Ziv.

Roni Milo conducted business in Georgia for Elbit Systems and the Military Industries, and with his help Israel’s defense industries managed to sell to Georgia remote-piloted vehicles (RPVs), automatic turrets for armored vehicles, antiaircraft systems, communication systems, shells and rockets.

The Ministry of Defense of Israel had supplied the Georgian government their Hermes 450 UAV spy drones, made by Elbit Maarahot Systems Ltd, for use, under the strict control of Israeli intelligence units, to conduct intelligence-gathering flights over southern Russia and, most especially into a Iran, targeted for Israeli Air Force attacks in the near future.

Two airfields in southern Georgia had been earmarked for the use of Israeli military aircraft, intended to launch an attack on identified targets relating to Iranian atomic energy projects. This attack was approved by President Bush in an undertaking with the government of Israel signed in Washington, D.C., on July 4, 2006.

The thrust of this top secret agreement was that the Israeli government would have “free and unfettered use” of unspecified Georgian airfields, under American control, onto which they could ferry fighter-bombers which then could fly south, over Turkish territory (and with clandestine Turkish permission) to strike at Tehran. The distance from Georgia to Tehran is obviously far less than from Tel Aviv.

No one expected that these attacks would completely destroy Iranian military or scientific targets, but there would be the element of complete surprise coupled with serious property damage which might well interdict future Iranian atomic development and certainly serve as a serious warning to Iran not to threaten Israel again. Using Georgian bases, with the consent and full assistance of, the United States, would make such an attack much more feasible that attempting to fly from Israeli bases with overflights that might have serious regional diplomatic consequences.

Now, thanks to the irrational actions of the thoroughly unstable Georgian president, all of these schemes have collapsed and it is now believed that the Russian special forces have captured, intact, a number of the Israeli drones and, far more important, their radio controlling equipment.

In the main, Israeli military and intelligence units stationed in Georgia were mostly composed of Israel Defense Force reservists working for Global CST, owned by Maj. Gen. Israel Ziv, and Defense Shield, owned by Brig. Gen. Gal Hirsch. “The Israelis should be proud of themselves for the Israeli training and education received by the Georgian soldiers,” Georgian Minister Temur Yakobashvili.

By this manner, Israel could claim that it had a very small number of IDF people in Georgia “mainly connected with our Embassy in Tiblisi.” The Russians, however, were not fooled by this and their own intelligence had pinpointed Israeli surveillance bases and when they went after the Georgians who invaded South Ossetia, units of the Russian air force bombed the Israeli bases in central Georgia and in the area of the capital, Tbilisi. They also severely damaged the runways and service areas of the two Georgian airbases designed to launch Israeli sir force units in a sudden attack on Iran.

Israel is currently a part of the Anglo-American military axis, which cooperates with the interests of the Western oil giants in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Israel is a partner in the Baku-Tblisi- Ceyhan pipeline which brings oil and gas to the Eastern Mediterranean. More than 20 percent of Israeli oil is imported from Azerbaijan, of which a large share transits through the BTC pipeline. Controlled by British Petroleum, the BTC pipeline has dramatically changed the geopolitics of the Eastern Mediterranean and the Caucusus:

“[The BTC pipeline] considerably changes the status of the region’s countries and cements a new pro-West alliance. Having taken the pipeline to the Mediterranean, Washington has practically set up a new bloc with Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Israel, ” (Komerzant, Moscow, 14 July 2006)

While the official reports state that the BTC pipeline will “channel oil to Western markets”, what is rarely acknowledged is that part of the oil from the Caspian sea would be directly channeled towards Israel, via Georgia. In this regard, an Israeli-Turkish pipeline project has also been envisaged which would link Ceyhan to the Israeli port of Ashkelon and from there through Israel’s main pipeline system, to the Red Sea.

The objective of Israel is not only to acquire Caspian sea oil for its own consumption needs but also to play a key role in re-exporting Caspian sea oil back to the Asian markets through the Red Sea port of Eilat. The strategic implications of this re-routing of Caspian sea oil are far-reaching

What has been planned, is to link the BTC pipeline to the Trans-Israel Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline, also known as Israel’s Tipline, from Ceyhan to the Israeli port of Ashkelon.”

Radars of this type are essential for full bad weather capability, and help a lot with scanning large areas of terrain. Electro-optical scanners such as CoMPASS tend to offer a “drink-straw” view of only small areas in detail. The TESAR is the same radar used in the hugely successful “Predator” drone, in service for several years now with the US forces."

Do American people have any understanding about the negative influence of Jewish Neoconservatives on the US foreign policy? Their influence has been greatly responsible for the negative international image of the United States. The Neoconservatives have followed Israel and in some cases have initiated the negative perception about the Muslim world, specifically Iran.

This negative influence has resulted wasting about 30 years not using effective diplomatic interaction with Iran. Foreign Policy of President Bush and Iran , dictated by neoconservative advisers had been to sabotage the basic premise of diplomacy by under cutting the actions of European Union foreign policy Chief Javier Solana.

Undersecretary of State William Burns attended the Geneva meeting, the first direct meeting between USA and Iranian representatives. We had build up the expectations before the meeting that mere presence of Burns would stop Iranian producing nuclear fuel; we completely ignored the diplomatic rule of engagement and expected an instant result.

Before we could be effective in our interactions with Iran, we would need to have an understanding of their interests and positions, fears and expectations. To start we would need to know what Iran wants.

Before drawing a red line with Iran, we must be clear about our own motivations and the expected outcomes.

We have multiple options in our relationships with Iran. Among them would be the continuation of the present status, or a robust start of diplomatic interaction. Let us stay cool and use diplomatic rules of engagement and talk with Iran.

Similar to the past 45 years, Israel would continue to be a negative influence in our relationship with Iran. This problem is not knew, even during Mohammad Reza Pahlavi Iran suffered in her interaction with US due to the negative influence of Israel and her lobbies.

I think more than anything to be able to defend their country. Iran wants the same things as Israel, security. Who can they trust?

They remember 1979; Arabic nations who supported Iraq against Iran. The integrated financial, technical, and armaments that were provided by many Arab countries to support Arabic Iraq against non-Arab Iranians was responsible for death of about 500,000 Iranians and injury of several millions.

They remember our financial and technical support of Sadam Hossein to use chemical bombs against Iranians.

They remember 1988 unprovoked attack of the United State on a civilian Iranian airliner. Iran civilian airliner Flight 655 was shot down by the US Navy's guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes on Sunday July 3, 1988, killing all 290 passengers, including 66 children, and crewmembers onboard.

The civilian airliner, carrying passengers from Iran, Italy, the UAE, India, Pakistan and the former Yugoslavia, was en route from Iran's southern city of Bandar Abbas to Dubai when it was hit by two SM-2MR surface-to-air missiles launched from the warship commanded by Captain William C. The aircraft was flying within the Iranian airspace and did not have an attack profile. The plane was identified by Vincennes crew as a passenger aircraft. The objective was to teach Iran to capitulate in war with Iraq; otherwise more punishments were to be expected, such as U.S. Attacks on Iranian Oil Platforms in 1987-1988.

The Vincennes crew received combat-action ribbons. Lieutenant Commander Scott Lustig, air-warfare coordinator on the Vincennes, was awarded with the Commendation Medal for 'heroic achievement'.

President George Bush often states that Iran is threatening the interests of the Unites States in Persian Gulf! What are the interests of England and the United States in Persian Gulf, the Persian front door to Iran?
A primer for discussion of these issues must start with review of British and the United States policies relative to the Persian Gulf region. Stephen Kinzer, a veteran New York Times correspondent, in his book “All the Shah’s Men, an American coup and the roots of Middle East Terror”, published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2003, brilliantly reconstructs the events leading to the present dilemma of the United States in the Middle East. The events described in this marvelous book are not fiction; the events actually happened during the summer of 1953 in Tehran, Iran.

The United States Central Intelligence Agency operation Ajax staged coup d’état in 1953 against democratically elected Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh. Democracy was substituted with the despotic regime of Mohammad Reza Shah. The dawn of democracy in Iran, started in late 1880, flickered by democratically elected Mossadegh, was extinguished. This was the beginning of Iranian servitude once more to the interests of England and the United States. During his last years, Shah did not trust Iranian people; his inner palace was guarded by Israel commandos. Since 1979, the United States has been punishing Iranian people for ousting the immature, weak, despotic Mohammad Reza Shah. This punishment, Iranian assert, included Iraq invasion of Iran instigated by President Regan. During this war, the United States and her satellite nations helped materially and logistically Iraqi military forces to invade Iran and use chemical and biological weapons on Iranian population.

In the preface of his book, Kinzer recalls his conversation with an Iranian lady about Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh. He asked her: “What do you remember…about the coup against him?” She responded:

“Why did you Americans do that terrible thing? We always loved America. To us, America was the great country, the perfect country, the country that helped us while other countries were exploiting us. But after that moment, no one in Iran ever trusted the United States again…”

This un-American act was instigated by Winston Churchill-Anthony Eden of England and two American brothers John Foster Dulles (US Secretary of State) and Allen Dulles (Director of Central Intelligence Agency). The primary reason for this regime change was to subordinate Iranian people and exploit the Iranian natural resources.

Harry Truman once said: "There is nothing new in the world except the histories you don not know.” Have we learned from our past mistakes committed during 1953 not to repeat it once more? Why are we making so much fuss about the foreign experience of the candidates for the president? President elect list of priority tasks for his or her administration is greatly influenced by his vision of the future for America and the world. The president-elect, if he or she is a good administrator, will always choose competent members for his cabinets and advisors. The president-elect will not encircle himself with a group of "yes Sir" men or women.

The most important characteristic of a good president-elect would be a good listener, analyzer, and user of deliberate process for action making. As such, he can utilize centuries of experience and knowledge in diverse field to advance his mission for the nation. A democratic process, unlike a dictatorial system, is slow and would require the consensus of those who had elected the president. A good president would work with the representatives of the people and with deliberate attempt to listen to both sides of the isles.

The worst type of a president is an ideologue responding to only very limited sector of the American people.

We all serve, or have served this nation as professional military men and women, teachers, firemen, policemen, postal servicemen, engineers, doctors, scientists and many others. In my opinion, the candidate’s vision for the nation, educational trainings, and experiences are more important than being a prisoner of war as a qualification for the office.

I agree with General Wesley Clark’s remark: "riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is not a qualification to be president." I am surprised with over reaction of McCain. Senator McCain should know better to question General Clark’s comment; unless all he has to offer is his military service record. Is that enough to be qualified as our President?

I personally prefer a non-professional military candidate for the office of the president, unless he would be a man advocating peace having learned that killing people is much too uncivilized in this modern world.

Based on Yes Magazine, a recent story on CBS News, the answer seems to be a full-court press by the government of Israel and the American-Israeli lobby AIPAC. CBS ran the story Tuesday as Joint Chiefs Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen was on his way to the Middle East to confer with Israeli government officials. "Israelis are uncertain about what would be the policies of the next [U.S.] administration vis-à-vis Iran," CBS consultant Michael Oren says in the report.

“As has become the norm lately, the most sane policies are coming not out of Washington, DC, but out of state and local government. In her article in YES! With Ben Manski, Karen Dolan, of Cities for Peace, shows local governments setting a different direction on issues ranging from climate change to foreign policy; in her recent op-ed, she tells of the 32 U.S. mayors who have passed resolutions opposing war on Iran.”

“There are alternatives to attacking Iran and killing Iranian people. In his article in the foreign policy issue of YES! Magazine, Robert Naiman, of JustForeignPolicy.org shows that we avert the killing and maiming of Iranian civilians, by talking with Iran instead of bombing their country. Doing that could avert taking Middle East mayhem to a new level. Even better, we could actually work with Iran in an international effort to bring stability back to the region.”

Iran is 7500 miles away from the United States. It is recovering from years of subjugation by USA and Europeans. We tend to associate Iran with their recent president as the people of the world associate USA with President Bush. Neither one is a truce representative of the two societies.

We are good people, like most Iranians, who have many problems of our own, feeding our children, educating them, hoping they would find a job, medical insurance, and could support their own families. Most of those who have retired are struggling to survive after years of serving our country. The president and his administration have taken USA with a surplus to fully indebted to foreign nations.

Republicans and Democrats are often deluded during election and not smart. How could we be smart if we elect the same type of people over and over again? We are fooled by their appeasing words, the words we like to hear. For example, we don't like to kill and make wars on other nations. We are good people. We have problem housing, feeding, and educating our children. We tell our problems to our congressional representatives. But what do they do; authorize more war borrowing money from other nations expecting our children and grand children to pay for it. Is that smart?

Our administration and congressional representaives should look at home, and at our problems; please do something about them. Let Iran be.

Senators Dianne Feinstein, a California Democrat, and Chuck Hagel, a Nebraska Republican, have said publicly that the consortium plan should be explored. Representative Edward J. Markey, a Malden Democrat, went further, calling the plan "a creative, thoughtful, and productive potential solution."

Robert Naiman, Tue Jun 17, 3:08 PM ET, NYT Exposes Fraud of "Generous Offer" to Iran reported: “The same PIPA poll found that 58% of Iranians support the idea of making a deal with the UN Security Council that would allow Iran to have a full-cycle nuclear program while giving the International Atomic Energy Agency "permanent and full access throughout Iran to ensure that its nuclear program is limited to energy production" and not producing nuclear weapons. PIPA notes that in a March 2008 poll for the BBC World Service 55% of Americans approved of such a deal.”

“In April, the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland published a poll of Iranian public opinion. PIPA found that 81% of Iranians consider it "very important" for "Iran to have a full-fuel-cycle nuclear program" which would give Iran the capacity to produce nuclear fuel for energy production. Four out of five. Only 5% think Iran should not pursue a full-fuel-cycle program.”
If the basis for the 6-nation negotiation with Iran over her nuclear fuel cycle is enforcement of the United Nations Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT), then the Iranian proposal has fully achieved the objective.

President Bush often stated that everything is on the table unless Iran stops nuclear fuel cycle activities. He further has asserted that his administration would only talk with Iran after the nuclear fuel cycle activities verifiably had been stopped. Iranian people have consistently rejected his precondition for diplomatic negotiation. He is using the 6-nation as a fake diplomacy knowing that Iran will not stop her nuclear fuel cycle activities. Iranians consider the nuclear fuel cycle a part of their national energy independence.

Based on GlobalSecuirity.Org, in 1974, the German contractor Siemens began construction of two 1,200-1,300 megawatt electric (MWe) pressurized water nuclear reactors near Bushehr. The German program included 2100 German workers and roughly 7000 Iranian workers. The Shah of Iran intended that this program would provide Iran with the infrastructure essential for industrializing the country.

During the Iran-Iraq War, Iraqi strike aircraft partially damaged both reactors despite reported Iranian efforts to deter such an attack by moving reactor fuel to the site. Iraqi warplanes first struck the Bushehr reactor on 24 March 1984, inflicting light damage. Two more Iraqi air strikes took place in 1985, one in 1986, two in 1987, and a final raid occurred in 1988.

We were responsible for Iranian difficulty to rebuild and fuel their old nuclear reactor. Further Iran had serious difficulty to purchase fuel for their Russian rebuilt nuclear reactor. Iranians learned that their national energy independence demanded home grown nuclear fuel cycle development.

But we have another way to look at this problem:
USA indicates that would ever Iran need nuclear fuel, we will sell them at our price and our time. You know nuclear fuel is the oil of tomorrow. We want to keep our own nuclear fuel cartel. Wait until their oil wells go dry sometimes before 2025, they will come to USA begging for nuclear fuel, i.e. if we would allow them to have any nuclear reactor. We would not even allow them to have a Geiger Muller counter.

Israel and USA are insisting that unless Iran stops their nuclear fuel cycle, jointly they will destroy Iran.

Be serious. It is all about management of international resources.

Diplomacy with Iran

Robert Naiman in Just Foreign Policy Blog "Kinzer Goes to Washington, Seeking Real Diplomacy with Iran" stated that: “The Bush Administration’s conception of “diplomacy” with Iran on the nuclear file is: how can we compel the Iranian leadership to abandon the enrichment of uranium on Iranian soil?” But the Bush Administration’s direction is not limited to uranium enrichment; the Bush Administration wants a system like Iranian pre-revolution government under Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Pre-1979, the majority of Iranian foreign policies and many domestic policies were either dictated, or had to have approval from Washington. The Bush Administration wants to revisit 1953 regime change in Iran. Even then, Shah was frustrated with the Israeli Lobby influence in Washington.

Majority of Americans reject President Gorge Bush national and foreign policies. Many Americans would not approve President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's outspoken approach to Iranian foreign policy. But these two men are not the nations; they have limited terms of office.

Our present policy using the financial leverage and threat of physical attack has backfired over the last 20 years. This policy has promoted an opposite effect to the response we had anticipated; it has mobilized Iranian people in support of their government

Our national interests dictate that we start a frank dialogue with Iranian people and reestablish diplomatic relations. The negotiations are not between President George Bush and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. It is between American and Iranian people. Both nations have competent diplomatic corps.

Iranian people all along have expressed their friendship toward the American people; while strongly have rejected the bullying policy toward their country.

Dialogue and frank diplomacy should create a positive response from Iranian people.

American Foreign Policy and the World: A New Direction

1. Our recent foreign policy has adversely affected our international respect and leadership by our unilateralism and over use of our military power. We have replaced dialogue and diplomacy with invasion and subversions.

2. We have diminished the effectiveness of the United Nations and World Court.

3. We have over-vetoed against the United Nations resolutions where we should have supported the actions. These vetoes have castigated the United States as obstructionist in resolving many of the world problems.

Agenda for the New National Policy:

• US Foreign Policy must be a Reflection of Our National Character: Justice, Peace, Respect for Human Life, and Fair Treatment of all Other Nations.

• The future of our civilization is at risk of global annihilation by nuclear, biological and chemical arsenals of nations. For the civilization to survive, we must eliminate the nuclear arsenals.

• We must rely on the International Court and the United Nations to resolve the regional conflicts.

• The global environment must be protected and the adverse effect of human activities reversed or repaired.

• The global natural resources are diminishing rapidly by the world over population, over harvesting and destruction. These resources include fresh water and agricultural resources for production of food. World has to create equitable management of these resources. The United States must take the leadership position in these areas.

Federal States of Israel and Palestine as One Nation

We have had 60 years of experimenting about the Israeli-Palestinian struggle. The region would need help before we will be dragged into a World War III.

We have been forced into one box by the Israeli Lobby; we need to look outside of this box. We can’t fight wars after wars to support a non-working model of a two state solution. We can’t afford war after war to support a failed two state model.

Options for Israeli-Palestinian struggle?

The Ten Lost Tribes of Israel were resettled in 722 B.C. in Iran. Assyria, the nation that is now Iraq, took the 10 tribes captive and relocated them in Iran (historic Persia). Iranian Jews are descendent of these exiled tribes. Their exile is a historical fact. Often, the people defeated were scattered and exiled. Judah and Benjamin, two tribes later known as the Jews, claim Israel as their as their ancient homeland.

Jews and the Palestinians, whatever they were called then, were both in Middle East at the same time. Both Arabs and Jews have historical claims to the land.

No one can reject the fact that creation of Israel on the Palestinian land has created tremendous political and economical problems for the United States and the world. World (the United Nation) may have to look outside of the box to diffuse the problems.

One solution would be for Israel joining us as a member of the Unites States’ Common Wealth. The United States are already supporting Israel economically, politically and by sharing intelligence and military hardware. In addition, some Israeli Americans with both Israeli and American citizenships serve in the Israeli Armed Forces. Our great American Armed Forces will protect the common wealth as they would the homeland.

Would it be politically more advantages for the United States to manage the Jewish state as a member of our Common Wealth?

The Israeli Common Wealth will be free to exercise the religious freedom that our great nation would offer without being isolated among the hostile Arabs.

The Common Wealth would have to include the Arabs who were forced to leave the land when Zionist invaded the land. It should also include all of the land called by Palestinian as their homeland and by Israeli as their state. I don't suggest this proposal would work or be acceptable by Israel. In my opinion, this may be more destructive for the USA and would not help the Middle Eastern conflict in the future.

Then, what next?

Would really two nation model for Palestinian and Israeli work in the future? Many experts on the Middle Eastern politics and people would suggest that a two state solution in not viable model. We have struggled with it for nearly 60 years.

Should we be looking at the region as a Federal States with one government elected by all of the people? This model may have a much better chance of survival as a solution for both Israeli and Arabs.

Both Jewish and Palestinians have paid a high price for a failed system to consider the human side of the Israeli-Jewish struggle for a lasting peace.

I suggest that only as one nation, Federal State of Israel-Palestine, the peace may endure. We, Americans, have failed to see the both side of the struggle for a lasting peace. The two cousins may have to kiss and forgive for all the hurt they have caused and endured. As Semitic people, they have common historical and religious heritage.

Admiral Mullen: lethal and malign influence in Iraq

The nation's top military officer said yesterday that the Pentagon is planning for "potential military courses of action" as one of several options against Iran, criticizing what he called the Tehran government's "increasingly lethal and malign influence" in Iraq. Why should Iran not have influence in Iraq? A large population of Iraq has either Iranian ancestry or is related to someone in Iran. The two nations have historical links spreading over several thousands year.

What are we doing in Iraq? Why are we in Iraq? We have military presence in Afghanistan, Iraq and military bases in several locations in Persian Gulf. Why are we there? These locations are not in our hemisphere.

What are we doing in Persian Gulf the front door to Iran a country 7500 miles from home? Please don’t report the same often stated phrase, we are there to protect our national interests. What national interests? “We are there to protect the Persian Gulf”, we have said. Are we protecting the region against England or France? Iran has not attacked any country during previous 250 years; she has been attacked, bombed, and threatened during this last 150 years.

Please come back home! Our own problems at home are much more serious than interventions in the Middle East.

Charles Krauthammer: Entering a new arms era

The nuclear bomb age was restricted to US, Russia, France and England during the earlier period after the World War II. The era of non-proliferation was over once Israel, Pakistan and India, and China developed nuclear bombs. In Recent years, North Korea developed and tested nuclear device. In all these cases, the bomb was developed due to fear of attack from their adversaries.

Charles Krauthammer, an advocate for Israel, suggested four ways to stop other countries developing nuclear bomb: pre-emption, deterrence, missile defense and regime change. Krauthammer is not an anti-nuclear advocate; he has not rejected Israeli’s nuclear bomb, but lobbies fervently against Iran nuclear fuel cycle.

Iranian nuclear fuel cycle activities are limited to processes for nuclear reactor fuel; the opertions are monitored by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). IAEA is a section of the Unites Nations. IAEA has not identified any diversion of fuel cycle activities in Iran.

justifiably Iran would not intend to abrogate her rights for development of nuclear fuel cycle. Iran had suggested an international joint operation of her nuclear fuel cycle to allay the fear of Israel and the United States. Iran is open to other nations joining her nuclear fuel cycle program. By participation of other nations and unannounced IAEA inspection, Iran would not be able to divert nuclear materials. It is imperative we accept the invitation; it is face saving for Iran and those who would demand a non-military application for her nuclear fuel program.

Charles Krauthammer had previously advocated pre-emption killing a large Iranian population in order to destroy Iranian fuel cycle operation. He rejects that Iran can be deterred from their legal rights to use their operation for generating electricity.

Krauthammer concept of deterrence is identical to those used during the cold war between the Soviet Union and the United States, each equally capable to destroy the other by their awesome nuclear arsenals. Krauthammer, however, forgets that Iran does not have any nuclear bomb in contrast to Israel’s over 200 nuclear bombs as reported by the Unites States government.

Krauthammer advocates: “Begin by making the retaliatory threat in response to Iranian nuclear aggression so unmistakable and so overwhelming that the non-millenarians in leadership would stay the hand or even remove those taking their country to the point of extinction.” Excuse me, Charles! Iran does not have nuclear bomb, Iran has accepted addition protocol for IAEA monitoring of their operation. Iran is a member of Non-Proliferation Treaty of the United Nations (NPT). But Israel has nuclear bombs; she is not a member of NPT. Now, allow Israel, she will find some another pretext and would attack Iran to extinction. Charles, please don't smile! Killing people is not a cause for smiling!

Mr. Krauthammer last suggestion is “Total safety comes only from regime change.”
We did it in Iran (1953) and at present in Iraq, among other places. If Israel does not like some other nations, just let us go and change their government.

We must not forget our own national interests, US comes first. We must stop following Israel.

Switzerland and Iran signed a contract for the supply of Iranian natural gas to Europe. This contract sparked harsh criticism from the United States and Israel. The New York-based Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has condemned a Swiss-Iranian natural gas export contract.
Former Swiss ambassador François Nordmann indicated that the ADL response was a "cry of indignation, an individual reaction" to the deal. "It is …attempt to influence public opinion and discredit Switzerland and its foreign ministry".
Iran under Shah and the United States had a very cordial and cooperative relationship over a 30 year period. Some of our scientists after detonation of first nuclear bomb had suggested an international management agency to control mining and milling of uranium, enrichment process, fuel fabrication, and waste management of spent fuel. They suggested that the procedure for management and inspection must not be subject to veto power by any nation. An international management of fuel production, they indicated would stop future nuclear arm competition.

Presidents Truman and Eisenhower did not appreciate the concept of an international management for nuclear fuel cycle. Stalin shortly after the first nuclear bomb test in Alamogordo, New Mexico, started the Soviet Union nuclear bomb development. We and Soviet Russia both developed shortly after enhanced nuclear bombs (hydrogen bomb). Both nations recognized that a nuclear war would destroy both nations unlike all the other wars.

The United States feared Hitler may first develop nuclear bomb during the World War II; this fear lead to creation of Manhattan Project and development of nuclear bombs. The bombs and use on Japan changed the balance of power. The power, US did not want to share with anyone including her own allies.

Russia (US threat), China (Russia and US threat), India (Chinese threat) and Pakistan (Indian threat) developed their nuclear bomb to reduce the threat of nuclear bomb by their adversaries. Israel developed nuclear bomb to decrease threats from her Arabic neighbors.

To limit further spread of nuclear bombs, the United Nations non-proliferation treaty (NTP), July 1, 1968 was started; 189 nations are member of this treaty. NPT, the treaty is nevertheless sometimes interpreted as having three pillars: non-proliferation, disarmament, and the right to peacefully use nuclear technology.

The objective of non-proliferation act is to stop diversion of nuclear materials for making bomb. However, this rule does not apply to US, Russia, England, France, China, India, Israel, and Pakistan; the nations who already have nuclear bombs. These nations India, Israel, Pakistan and North Korea, are not member of non-proliferation treaty, thus they are not subject to its requirements. The procedure for non-proliferation management was not intended to interfere with the rights of nations to develop fuel cycle for non-military purposes. IAEA has the authority to inspect fuel cycle activities of each nation to show compliance with the non-proliferation requirements.

Iran has been developing nuclear fuel cycle for electric power generation. Israel and the United States had indicated that the knowledge of the nuclear fuel cycle will allow Iran in the future to develop ability to produce nuclear bomb. They demand Iran must stop development of her fuel cycle activities. Iran has already acquired the knowledge.

The Iran Counter-Proliferation Act

The US “Iran Counter-Proliferation Act” a pending legislation being rushed in the Senate by the Israeli Lobby and neoconservative supporters. This Act threatens a cultural embargo on all things Iranian and safety of international air trasportation. This act along with a proposed third round of U.N. sanctions are marshaled by our Administration against Iranian people.

It is irrelevant that IAEA and our own US intelligence agencies have stated that Iran is not developing nuclear bomb and had stopped the process since 2003. Our national experts know well that Iran is not capable to make nuclear bomb; Iran had not have enriched uranium (80% or higher U-235 to U-238 isotopes). IAEA had stated that Iran has enriched small quantities of natural uranium to less than 5%. This is the enrichment level required for a civilian nuclear power plant.

Then what is the objective of the Iran Counter-Proliferation Act?

The objective of this Act is to pressure Iranian people to stop nuclear fuel cycle activities. The function of nuclear fuel cycle is production of fuel for power plants producing electrical energy and radioactive isotopes for use in medicine, agriculture, and educational research. The present US administration asserts that once Iranian people have learned about use of the fuel production technique for fuel production, it would be a smaller step to enrich the fuel from less than 5% to more than 80% and make nuclear bomb. Thus, the title of the act “counter-proliferation” refers to stopping Iranian people to learn about nuclear physics, nuclear chemistry and engineering. But, Iranian scientists and engineers already know the nuclear science and engineering of uranium fuel cycle.

Our government rationale is comparable to arguing that teaching sciences in our high schools and colleges would give students the knowledge to make bomb. Thus, if we follow the purpose of the counter-proliferation logic, all teaching of sciences should be stopped!

Will the act stop Iranian people to advance in science and engineering of nuclear fuel cycle? No. The Act will only make life harder for some of the people in Iran. The Act will adversely affect any civilized political rapprochement between our government and Iranian people. Many experts in international politics suggest:

Stop harassing Iranian people, threatening them, and making life harder for the ordinary people.
Start talking unconditionally with Iranian government. Our actions only further embed Iranian government into Russian and Chinese spheres of influences.
Instability in Iran will drag the entire Middle East into very unstable region. Israel and the United States would not benefit from this instability.
Iranians are friendly to the people of the United States; escalation of hostility will change the friendly to very unfriendly people.
Israel, backed by the United States, must stop threatening Iran. These threats will adversely affect Israel. Survival of Israel is dependent on stability of the Middle East.

To Thomas Friedman: without poppy seed, it is not possible to grow poppies

Mr. Friedman wrote on December 16, 2007, that United States lost its leverage in dealing with Iran. I am respectfully asking the following questions:

What leverage are we, the United States, looking for?
What Iran has done to be dealt with?
What do we want from Iran, 7500 miles away from our home?

Are we confused about the Israeli interests and our own American interests? Has Israel burden created loss of national prestige for Americans among people of other countries? How can we supply Israel with foreign aids, while our own educational and medical services are at poor conditions? Why are you, Mr. Friedman so concern about Iran’s infant civilian nuclear fuel cycle while you do not care about the Israeli’s factual possession of nuclear bombs? What are the real facts that Iran was developing nuclear bomb prior to 2003? To make a nuclear bomb, you would need highly enriched (90% or higher) uranium (U-235 to U-238). Iran did not have and still does not have such a nuclear source material. To make a plutonium bomb, you would need a reactor like Israeli French designed reactor, since plutonium naturally does not exist. We, the United States, used both types of bombs, uranium and plutonium bombs, on Japanese civilians at the closing of the World War II.

Mr. Friedman, without poppy seeds, it is not possible to grow poppies. Without enriched uranium, or plutonium, you cannot make a nuclear bomb. Iran does not have either one of the nuclear source materials. Iran can not make nuclear bombs. Your story about growing “poppies for heroin in his backyard in violation of the law” is surprising twist of facts. Iran’s nuclear fuel cycle is in full compliance and control of IAEA for peaceful development of nuclear energy.

Your choice of poppies statement reminded me of the following story. An old gold merchant was chasing a thief in the busy street in Ankara, or maybe some place in Kuwait, or Bahrain. The merchant was shouting loudly help me to get the thief, chasing the man in full pursuit. The thief had shoplifted an expensive ring from his store. The thief was running and shouting too “help me get the thief” while being chased by the merchant. The public in the street were confused and could not help the merchant. In this story, Israel shoplifted nuclear bombs. She possesses, based on our own US government report, about 200 nuclear bombs. The knowledge and materials for these nuclear bombs came from the United States, and other countries. Why Israel is accusing Iran for developing nuclear bomb? Maybe to divert our attention from her unlawful nuclear bombs and her inhumane behaviors in the Middle Eastern neighborhood! Before you make other accusation about Iran’s nuclear fuel cycle activities, insist that Israel places her nuclear activities under the United Nations (IAEA) control.

America Come Back Home: Charity starts at home, not in the Middle East

Who attacked our country on September 11, 2001? Who attacked and killed our sailors on USS Liberty? They were not Iranians! Then, why are we hurting the Iranian people?

The person on this picture is a member of the United States Administration. She said: I hate all Iranians. Is this our administration policy?

Iran does not have a nuclear bomb. Even if Iran wanted to develop a nuclear bomb, it will be more than 10 years. The US administration admitted that Iran is not developing nuclear bomb. But, our government would not want Iranians to learn about making fuel for nuclear reactors in production of electricity. We are concern that some day, 10 to 15 years from now, Iran may advance their knowledge of physics and make nuclear bomb.

Iranian government has made fuel cells for an earlier design of safe Canadian type Candu nuclear reactor for medical production of isotopes. Our government reacted that we would not allow Iran to develop nuclear bomb! Confused? Candu is not a nuclear bomb. Please check it!

We teach physics and chemistry in our high schools in the United States and all over the world. The knowlege provides the basic tools for making arsonist bomb. May be one of these students will some day make a bomb! So let us stop teaching physics and chemistry in all of our schools. Do you think this concern is more than strange?

Israel has over 200 advance nuclear bombs based on our government report. Why did we help Israel to develop these bombs? Why the International community is not demanding that Israel eliminates her nuclear bombs? Why are we not pushing for international elemination of all nuclear bombs?

Arabs, Israel and Iran: Stop War

Iran is a natural non-Arab nation for Israel security in the Middle East region. Persians and Jews have common historical and cultural links. People of Israel know that below the surface of verbal bravado from the present President of Iran, Iran is not a foe of Israel. Iranian security may depend on presence of a viable Israel.

Iraq invasion of Iran was a reality check for Israel. Israel recognized that the same Arabic nations who supported Iraq against Iran will attack again non-Arab Israel. These findings are not surprising considering the integrated financial, technical, and armaments that were provided by many Arab countries to support Arabic Iraq against non-Arab Iranians and Kurds.

The United States interests in the region do not support attacking Iran. We must stop arming Israel and Arab nations, providing massive military aids (Egypt and Israel) hoping that all will be fine. Israel budget for armaments is greater than those of Iran. These arms will eventually kill Americans (USS Liberty attack) and people of the region.

The interests of the United States in the world dictate that we must open a frank unconditional dialogue with Iran recognizing the constructive contribution of the country to Afghanistan against Taliban, conflicts between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and al Qaeda in Iraq. Iran is not foe of Israel or Arabs.

What kind of Middle East do we want?

Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State, August 2007:”Iran constitutes the single most important single country strategic challenge to the Unites States and to the kind of Middle East that we want to see.”

What kind of Middle East do we want? The present Republican administration contends that above all, a nation like Iran would not fit into our picture. The Iranian government would not accept our administration policy as the sole policy for the Middle East. The administration wants the natural resources of the area and a market where our corporations would sell our hardware and second-class arsenals.

Iranian potential to develop nuclear arsenals would be of minimum consequence to our national defense; after all we faced Soviet’s fully developed nuclear arsenals. Iran, a third class nation, is more of nuisance than a real threat. Iran could be a threat to our satellite Arabic nations, not by shear military force, but by example of defying our Middle Eastern policy. The satellite nations, like Iran under Shah, have a tenuous existence. One way or another, the people of these nations will free themselves from the yoke of their despotic masters. The administration finds it much easier to deal with a single ruler than to deal with a whole nation. We just pretend to desire the concept of messy democracy for these nations, knowing well the hostility of the regional population to our American foreign policy.

Are we trying to make an example of Iran? Iran under Shah was incapable to produce a sewing needle; in contrast, Iran today is developing a strong population of educated men and women, a solid industrial base and national pride. Iranian democracy must develop from the Iranian base, a brand of democracy suited to the historical and cultural sense of the population. Like our American Republic, democracy in Iran will nurture with time, experiencing up and down until the Bill of Rights of Iran will be established.

What do we, the people of this great Republic, demand from our Administration for the Middle East?

Breeding of al Qaeda and Taliban

Our United States government created the Radical Islam. It is the product of our foreign policies since 1979. Our government decided to train Mujahideen to defeat Soviets in Afghanistan. Reagan administration provided Pakistan with resources to create madrassas and educate Afghans into Islamic radicals. From 1982 to 1992, 35,000 radical Muslims from 43 Islamic countries were brought to Pakistan; our government trained these young men in the art of terrorism against the Soviets.
Our U.S. government recruited Osama bin Laden and his 4,000 volunteers in 1984. With our knowledge, bin Laden created al-Qaeda in 1988. CIA provided highly sophisticated equipment and training to Bin Laden. We ignored when bin Laden opened terrorist cells in some 26 countries.
After the Soviets left Afghanistan in 1989, the U.S. supported Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, an Islamic fundamentalist, and the Taliban. In 1998, bin Laden master minded the bombings in Kenya and Tanzania. It was then too late. In 2001, the people of the United States were the next victim of al-Qaeda. Iranian people were victim of the same vicious people when the entire members of the Iranian mission in Afghanistan were killed by Taliban.
Today, August 6, 2007, the fist meeting between the technical staff of United States and Iran toward stabilizing Iraq, is a baby step toward normalization between these two countries. It is the first step toward normalizing the regional status of the Near East. Both the United States and Iran would be at greater risks if their activities would fail.

Iran would greatly benefit from a stable Iraq. Failure of the United States in managing al-Qaeda would not only harm US, but also would put at risk the satellite Arab countries, such as Egypt, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Jordan. These US satellite countries are the primary targets of al-Qaeda.
